Phonics for 3rd Grade

Book excerpt: At third grade, the purpose of phonics is to help children practice the skills they've learned in the previous years. During this stage, children will integrate spelling to make reading a successful experience. For some third graders, little or no instruction is required. However, for children with dyslexia, phonics instruction may be required even beyond third grade.
