Book excerpt: Abraham Beery (1718-1799) settled in Adams County, Pennsylvania, where he lived married years and raised a family. He and his wife, Mary Gochenour, had six children, 1762-1777. After their sons migrated to Virginia, he and his wife followed in 1787 and settled in Rockingham County, Virginia. He died at Cross Keys, Virginia. Descendants lived in Virginia, Illinois, Ohio, Iowa, and elsewhere.
