Book excerpt: This factsheet on EU cooperation on Research and Innovation with Africa will be based on the pre-existing, attached factsheet on the same topic, prepared at the time of the publication of the Horizon Europe Work Programme for 2021-2022 and more specifically the Africa Initiative comprising a set of calls for proposals with a dedicated funding requiring or encouraging participation of African entities. This second factsheet will allow to present the new Africa Initiative II contained in the forthcoming Work Programme for 2023-2024. It will allow to communicate in a succinct way with African partners about the opportunities that will be offered to them under the Africa Initiative II.
