Book excerpt: Imagine for one second that you’re with someone, maybe a friend or relative, spouse or co-worker, and before you could barely blink your eyes, something happens and you look up and they are gone without a trace, without a clue. You look and feel all around but they are not there. You yell out for them, but still there is no answer. They just disappeared or vanished into thin air. The only thing remaining from them is maybe the clothing that they were wearing when they were with you. Things happened so fast that you didn’t see what happened to them. They were so quick that even the cameras and video surveillance didn’t capture what happened. Things changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, and at the speed of lightning. “Then shall two be in the field, the one shall be taken and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken and the other left”(Matthew 24:40-41). Now in enters chaos.
