Book Synopsis Layers of Silence by : M.L. Curtis

Book excerpt: Have you ever looked around a room full of people and wondered who they really are? What's their story? What have they been through? What makes them the way they are? Daphne is a beautiful, single career woman who turns heads whenever she walks into a room. Despite the obvious attention from others, she battles insecurity and keeps her true feelings hidden, even from herself. Rachel lives what seems to be a very charmed life. She is married to the perfect man and has two adorable children. Unfortunately, the effects of Rachel's childhood trauma can resurface unexpectedly, sending her into a dark place from which her husband struggles to free her. Kate is a young waitress who rarely speaks unless spoken to. She is an orphan, suffers from OCD, and doesn't understand what love is. Her simple life becomes complicated when a childhood friend returns home after being away for years. These women are all connected by a support group called ACDP (Adult Children of Deceased Parents)... and by an unexpected twist that changes all of their lives forever.
