In the Psalter of the Blessed Virgin Mary Saint Bonaventure paraphrases the 150 Psalms In honor of the Blessed Virgin to which are added canticles in her honor. "Whoever wishes to be saved must hold a firm faith in Mary, which unless anyone shall keep whole and inviolate without doubt shall perish forever." Saint Bonaventure says to us. In this canticle he presents the doctrines of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which we must believe to be truly Christian! St. Alphonsus writes: "a single bad book will be sufficient to cause the destruction of a monastery." Pope Pius XII wrote in 1947 at the beatification of Blessed Maria Goretti: "There rises to Our lips the cry of the Saviour: 'Woe to the world because of scandals!' (Matthew 18:7).
