Book Synopsis An industry view on turning ERP into a competitive advantage by : Dr. Chandan Deep Singh

Book excerpt: This research revolves around the impact of Enterprise Resource Planning in Indian industries. The ERP system stands for enterprise resource planning. It is fundamentally a data framework that joins distinctive subsystems into one framework. This operation is called integration. For example, an association has three fundamental data frameworks. The main framework handles HR; the second framework handles finance; and the third framework handles manufacturing. ERP integrate these three subsystems into one system that shares information among these subsystems. In other words, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is described as an "information system package that integrates information and information based processes within and across functional areas in an organization”. The ERP framework ought to enhance efficiency for organization.
