Book excerpt: The pages of this book bring to life the dynamics of learning, experiences, interaction, leading, and envisioning the applications of essential principles and concepts to enhance teaching, educational administration and leadership in achieving a desired mission. The cultures of the United States and the Middle East provide the contexts to convey the happenings of a lifetime. The diversity of human interactions has enriched experiences which shaped responses and forward movement to realize the potential of individuals engaged in these opportunities. History will reflect the essential results achieved which frees others to expand the scope of these endeavors. To launch a new American school in Cairo, Egypt, from "scratch" was the capstone of my educational and leadership career. To do so, I took each step while drawing upon ´everything´ I had ever experienced.
