Prominent African Leaders Since Independence

Book excerpt: Some of the most prominent leaders of the independence struggle in Africa are covered in this book. They include leaders who were involved in armed struggle against colonial rule and white minority regimes. Some of them overthrew black governments. And there are those who supported liberation wars in the countries of southern Africa by providing military bases and other forms of assistance to the freedom fighters.
