Book Synopsis The Twelfth Hour by : Ada Leverson

Book excerpt: This novel, set in wealthy upper class London society, is about two sisters navigating love and relationships over the course of a long, hot summer. The older sister, Felicity, is married to Lord Chetwode, but he is so consumed by his hobbies and travels that he ignores her and their relationship struggles. Meanwhile, the younger sister, Sylvia, is facing pressure from her father to marry a wealthy Greek financier but is actually in love with her father's secretary. Her father is well-intentioned but doesn't understand her feelings or the fact that others may have different perspectives.
