Book Synopsis The Political Impact of the COVID pandemic on Germany, France, and Italy by : Anuj Nandy

Book excerpt: Essay from the year 2023 in the subject Politics - Environmental Policy, University of Bucharest (Faculty of Political Science), course: PhD in Political Science, language: English, abstract: This essay aims to address the aftermath and the impact of the COVID pandemic on an economic and political level. To stop the COVID-19 epidemic from spreading, substantial political and economic limitations were imposed on all countries. The pandemic severely impacted three European economic giants—Germany, France, and Italy. Policymakers must urgently navigate a post-pandemic recovery while addressing critical environmental problems as they break free from the pandemic's grasp. With an emphasis on environmentally friendly policies and financial investments to revive economies and stop climate change, the idea of a "green recovery" has gained popularity. The policy initiatives made in Germany, France, and Italy to create a green recovery are examined in this essay, which also analyzes their approaches, difficulties, and consequences for long-term sustainability.
