TNCs and the Removal of Textiles and Clothing Quotas

Book excerpt: With the expiration of the Agreement on Textiles and Clothing, the quota system originally set up through the Multifibre Agreement has been phased out. This is likely to have serious implications for developing countries which have traditionally relied heavily on textiles and clothing products as a source of export revenue and growth.
